Associate Director, Commercial Data Product Owner- Medical Affairs

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks an Associate Director to oversee commercial data product delivery within medical affairs, managing data governance, stakeholder collaboration, and adoption across domains including medical inquiry management, KOL engagement, and evidence generation.
Responsibilities
- Translate strategic roadmap into delivery plans, backlogs, and release schedules with Analytics, Medical, and IT teams
- Engage stakeholders across Medical Affairs, Sales, Market Access, and Analytics to capture requirements and define user stories
- Support implementation and enforcement of data governance frameworks with heightened controls for HCP interaction data
- Design and maintain logical and physical data models with version-controlled documentation following governance reviews
- Monitor data quality dashboards, operational KPIs, and support incident triage and root-cause analysis across pipelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, data, life sciences, business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years in data products, governance, MDM, analytics, or commercial data in pharma/life sciences
- Expertise in data governance frameworks, catalog platforms, and metadata management
- Medical Affairs data domain knowledge including compliance, promotional/non-promotional separation, and HCP privacy
- Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder engagement across commercial, analytics, IT, and compliance teams
- Working knowledge of modern data platforms and lakehouse architectures (e.g., Databricks)
- Understanding of regulatory landscape governing Medical Affairs data (PhRMA Code, Sunshine Act, off-label inquiry handling)
