LVN/ Department Assistant

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Assist Director of Nursing in preparing departmental reports for compliance monitoring and productivity trackingPrepare appropriate training documents for new hires and assist HR in ensuring new staff are assigned the appropriate resources during their orientation dayEnsure employees and contract staff receive appropriate orientation documents, assignments and continuing education.Provide scheduling completion for Director of NursingProvide scheduling completion for clinical staff as indicatedServe as back up in assisting with Addendum Form CompletionServe as back up in assisting with COVID ReportingServe as back up to Care Coordinator and/or Access Specialist as indicatedInitiate clinical education in services and ensure staff required information to attend these eventsInitiate departmental notices regarding updated protocols, physician vacations or other pertinent information as delegated by the Director of NursingPrepare clinical and/or progress notes on any patient related activities.Collaborates with Director of Nursing to ensure appropriate communication and cooperation between clinical areasParticipates in in services, IDT meetings and other programs and meetings as needed.Acts as physician agent in calling in prescriptions as directed by agency protocolCompliant with governing Federal, State, and accredited regulations and standards and education of staff to these guidelines.Serve as back up to the Care Coordinator and/or Access Specialist as neededMaintaining storage of departmental logs required for compliance measuresDelivers direct care to patients as neededThis job description is not intended to be all-inclusive and the employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by management.Location: BryanShift: Full Time, Monday through FridayBenefits: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 403b Retirement, PTO Accrual, CHPN Certification, HSA, Life Insurance, and more!RequirementsLVN license in state of Texas2 years of clinical experience, Home Health or Hospice preferredActive communication skillsExcellent clinical and documentation skillsAble to function independently to provide highest quality of nursing practice
