The revenue cycle shadows the entire patient care journey and begins with patient appointment scheduling and ends when the patient’s account balance is zero.***Responsibilities**** Gather, review, and organize documentation required for internal and external audit requests* Prepare and submit initial audit responses in accordance with standard procedures* Maintain accurate, complete, and well-organized audit files for tracking and compliance purposes* Support auditors and revenue cycle teams with routine audit-related tasks* Track audit requests, deadlines, and follow-up actions to ensure timely completion* Ensure all activities align with revenue integrity standards and compliance requirements* Escalate discrepancies, missing information, or potential risks to senior team members* Assist in maintaining audit logs, reports, and supporting documentation***Qualifications**** High School Diploma or GED required* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred* 1-2 years of experience in healthcare, revenue cycle, billing, or administrative support preferred* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills* Basic understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes preferred* Ability to follow established procedures and work under supervision* Effective written and verbal communication skills* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)* Willingness to learn audit processes, payer guidelines, and compliance standards* Exposure to audit processes or compliance functions is a plus***What is expected of you and others at this level**** Effectively applies knowledge of job and company policies and procedures to complete a variety of assignments* In-depth knowledge in technical or specialty area* Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems independently* May modify process to resolve situations* Works independently within established procedures; may receive general guidance on new assignments* May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members**Anticipated hourly range:** $16.75 per hour - $21.75 per hour **Bonus eligible:** No **Benefits:** Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.* Medical, dental and vision coverage* Paid time off plan* Health savings account (HSA)* 401k savings plan* Access to wages before pay day with myFlexPay* Flexible spending accounts (FSAs)* Short- and long-term disability coverage* Work-Life resources* Paid parental leave* Healthy lifestyle programs**Application window anticipated to close:** 7/23/2026 \*if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.The hourly range listed is an estimate.
