D.A. Blodgett – St. John’s is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical leadership, coaching, and oversight to therapists serving children, youth, and families across schools, homes, community settings, and residential programs .

This is an opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with meaningful leadership—supporting therapists in delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care while helping strengthen outcomes for the children and families we serve.

Why This Role Matters

As Clinical Supervisor , you'll play a key role in ensuring therapists have the guidance, resources, and support they need to do their best work. You'll help lead services addressing a wide range of behavioral health needs, including:

• Anxiety and depression
• Trauma and emotional distress
• Self-harm and safety concerns
• Aggression and behavioral challenges
• Family and relationship concerns
• Complex emotional and behavioral needs

You'll also help strengthen connections between therapists, schools, residential programs, child welfare services, community providers, and other important support systems.

What You'll DoLead & Develop Clinical Staff

• Provide ongoing clinical supervision, coaching, and reflective supervision
• Review clinical skills, performance, and professional development needs
• Conduct formal performance evaluations at three months and annually in collaboration with clinical leadership
• Identify competency gaps and provide targeted support to help clinicians succeed
• Assist with hiring and onboarding new team members
• Promote staff wellness, psychological safety, and a trauma-responsive work environment

Provide Clinical Oversight

• Ensure clinicians follow evidence-based practice models and agency clinical standards
• Review clinical documentation, reports, and correspondence for quality and compliance
• Monitor assessments and treatment plans to ensure they are comprehensive, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and responsive to each family's needs
• Monitor caseloads, outcomes, documentation, and program performance
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and case record reviews
• Support compliance with contractual, licensing, and regulatory requirements

Build Strong Community Partnerships

• Develop collaborative relationships with school personnel and Kent School Services Network partners
• Work effectively with behavioral health, medical, human service, and educational professionals
• Help strengthen coordination between school, residential, child welfare, and community-based services
• Support creative approaches that expand and improve services for children and families

Stay Connected to Clinical Work

• Maintain a clinical caseload as program needs and staffing levels require
• Provide guidance around assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and family engagement
• Participate in the supervisor on-call rotation to help provide 24/7 clinical and administrative support
• Model healthy professional boundaries, flexibility, and sustainable work practices

What We're Looking ForMinimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or a related field
• Current Michigan clinical license such as LMSW, LPC, or LMFT
• Strong knowledge of common diagnoses and treatment approaches for school-aged children
• Experience with individual and/or group counseling, family assessment, interviewing, and crisis intervention
• Ability to supervise, develop, and motivate clinical professionals
• Strong understanding of child development and child management
• Ability to work effectively with schools, behavioral health providers, human service agencies, and medical professionals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, adequate insurance, and reliable access to a vehicle

• Clinical supervision or team leadership experience
• School-based mental health
• Family preservation or community-based behavioral health
• Foster care or adoption services
• Experience working with children and families with complex behavioral health needs
• Experience collaborating across multiple agencies and systems of care
• Training or experience in trauma-responsive practices and culturally responsive care
