Job Title: Engineering Program Manager – Capital Projects (R&D Pilot Plant)
Location: Burlington, MA (On-site — local to Massachusetts)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)

About the Opportunity:

ZipStaff is seeking an Engineering Program Manager to drive major capital programs for R&D at a leading beverage / CPG organization.

You will own development and execution of a pilot plant and product-development lab in Burlington, MA — schedule, capital budget, vendors, and business continuity during construction. This is a hands-on capital-program seat, not an IT/SAP project role.

What You’ll Do:

• Drive development and execution of the pilot plant and product-development lab construction program.
• Partner with Strategy, Engineering, Supply Chain, and R&D leadership on updates, schedule, and continuity during construction.
• Manage capital timeline, budget, vendors, and invoicing within the client’s capital process.
• Build and manage relationships with internal teams and external resources.
• Maintain project documentation, schedules, and progress updates.
• Keep the program aligned to clear goals, accountability, and stakeholder expectations.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of program / project management on capital projects (engineering, construction, or supply-chain capital).
• Proven experience developing and executing capital projects in a supply-chain environment.
• Demonstrated ownership of capital timelines, budgets, vendors, and invoicing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Burlington, MA (local to Massachusetts required).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (no sponsorship now or in the future).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Food & beverage or CPG industry experience.
• Knowledge of high-speed filling and packaging technologies.
• SAP, Esker, and Microsoft Project.
• PMP certification.
• Familiarity with program-management standards and Agile methods.
