Staff Tax Accountant

Overview We are a small CPA firm seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate is reliable, knowledgeable in current tax laws, and able to work efficiently during tax season and beyond. Responsibilities Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and/or businesses Review financial records and documents to ensure accuracy Identify potential deductions and credits to minimize tax liability Communicate with clients to gather necessary information Stay up to date on changes in tax regulations and compliance requirements Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Direct working relationship with two long-term CPA's Relaxed work environment focused on work-life balance 401(k) Qualifications 2-5+ years of prior tax preparation Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Preferred Qualifications CPA license Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and Lacerte tax software #J-18808-Ljbffr
