Based in our **Sidney, OH** location, you will work in conjunction with product engineers to design, develop, and qualify compressors for HVACR systems. To maintain our role as a global leader of compression solutions we continually seek talented and ambitious technicians to work in our engineering laboratories. **AS A MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL:*** Follow engineering laboratory test instructions to conduct developmental testing of compressors.* Set up and install compressors and support compressor electronics for test purposes.* Operate laboratory test equipment including C02 stands, calorimeters, durability life test stands, data acquisition systems, and other measuring equipment used to acquire compressor performance characteristics.* Fabricate supporting test fixtures and controls required for non-standard tests or builds.* Review test data for compliance with applicable test data standards.* Perform various tasks related to the upkeep of the lab.* You will be responsible for completing required tests and communicating test results with engineers.* You will provide input on optimizing work processes to improve the overall efficiency of the lab.**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:*** Associate's degree plus two to three (2-3) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience* Must have basic HVAC, mechanical, and electrical skills* Must have troubleshooting and problem-solving skills* Must have personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs* Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.**SCHEDULE:** This position is on 2nd shift and would consist of five-eight-hour work days, and would be eligible for voluntary overtime. #LI-JB1 **Why Work in the Greater Miami Valley Area**Our facility is located in Sidney, OH, conveniently located within driving distance to several larger cities, such as Dayton, Troy, and Columbus.
