Details Emergency Department with 101 beds in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and high-volume ED (over 100,000 visits annually) Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for behavioral holds Supported by techs in cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and triage areas, plus dedicated unit clerks Uses Baxter pumps and GE monitors for patient care Charting completed in Cerner Shift runs 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM Every other weekend scheduling required; block scheduling not available and hours must align with department needs No floating outside the ED, but must be flexible to float to all sections within the ED Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) required BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, including at least 1 year in an ER setting Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000 visits) preferred Previous HCA experience preferred No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSNs not accepted) One professional reference required for consideration Additional Information Deliver patient-centered emergency care following AIDET principles and maintain updated patient boards throughout each visit Must demonstrate a teamwork mentality and the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback to colleagues Flexibility to work across all areas of the ED is required Navy scrub uniform required Department is known for strong teamwork and a welcoming culture, serving a multicultural community representing over 120 languages Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted American Traveler Job ID P-749170.
