The starting pay for Adjunct Faculty is $1,046 per credit hourassigned to teach. For the full list of available courses to teach,please explore our coursecatalog . This position is open only to applicants who residein Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky or who are able to perform workwithin one of these states. Principal Accountabilities Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by thedepartment Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize studentlearning Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections inaccordance with department and divisional policies Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, useavailable instructional technology when appropriate Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategiesto meet diverse student’s needs Support classroom and online efforts to promote studentsuccess Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promotelearning Maintain accurate records of student progress Submit final grade rosters according to establisheddeadlines Maintain confidentiality of student information Adjunct Faculty cannot be assigned to teach more than themaximum of 12 credit hours per semester Other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum of a master’s degree in history or a master’s degreewith at least 18 semester credit hours of graduate coursework inhistory required Evidence of successful prior teaching experience ispreferred Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning throughinnovative strategies shown to help students succeed at the courseand program level Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with theability to work successfully in a community collegeenvironment Must possess demonstrated skills in using modern educationaltechnology, including multimedia-based instruction Official transcripts for all post-secondary degrees (ifapplicable) and successful completion of a background check will berequired prior to date of hire.
