Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Level II Trauma unit requiring strong neuro critical care experience and prior travel nursing experience. Requirements Active CA RN license required, compact license must be in hand at submission Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and LA City Fire Card Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required Community Hospital experience required Level II Trauma experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferred Prior travel nursing experience required Proficiency in critical care skills including arterial line management, central/PICC line care, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, vasoactive drip titration, and cardiac monitoring Neurological care experience including CVA/stroke management, EVD, ICP monitoring, and post-neurosurgery care preferred Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Responsibilities ICU setting within a Level 2 Trauma, Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center High acuity patient population including cardiovascular, multi-trauma, gunshot, stroke, STEMI, CABG/Valve/IABP, CRRT, sepsis, and surgical cases Includes 12 overflow beds 1:2 patient ratio Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM) No weekend requirement No on-call requirement Floating required between PCU and ICU overflow units, as well as sister facilities within the state Uses Epic charting system Work in a Magnet-designated Acute Care Hospital with 377 staffed beds Provide critical care nursing to high-acuity neuro, cardiovascular, and trauma patients Any scrub color accepted; L/D and OR scrubs provided Free parking available First-time travelers are not accepted for this role Locals accepted within a 50-mile radius, though local candidates may be offered a lower bill rate Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) RTO requests must be submitted at time of application; minimal RTO preferred to expedite offer approval Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities and should be prepared to do so Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr
