CSR, Specialty Pharmacy

Provides customer service responsibilities for Restore RX operations. The successful candidate is an individual capable of maintaining a positive, professional attitude while making and receiving inbound & outbound calls and assisting other staff as needed. Essential Functions Receive inbound calls and appropriately answer or direct them to the proper area. Make outbound calls to patients to follow up or schedule delivery of medications. Receive written prescriptions or telephone requests. Comprehend insurance requirements and/or restrictions. Conduct insurance verification to ensure patient’s insurance coverage is valid and will cover requested products/services. Inform patient/responsible party of any financial responsibility. Identify all components needed to fulfill prescription orders. Assess patient/caregiver’s understanding of instructions for the product administration. Determine method of delivery. Coordinate delivery date and location. Enter patient intake data into the pharmacy system. Gather payment information from patients. Maintain a clean work environment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Customer Service Representative (CSR) experience preferred. Training in company policies and procedures, professional standards, relevant laws and regulations, including HIPAA. Working knowledge of computer systems, such as Microsoft Great Plains, VD HUB, Report Manager, Outlook, Manhattan/Scale, and MS Office. Strong customer service and communication/telephone skills required. Processing calls in an automated call center environment strongly preferred. Proficiency in Excel and Word. Ability to read and interpret physician orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Effective communication with patients, health care providers, and payers. Competence in counting, recording, and documenting detailed medical and insurance information. Physical Demands Typical duties include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and frequent use of hands and fingers with computer equipment. The position requires verbal communication, visual acuity, mental concentration, problem‑solving, multi‑tasking, and occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds.
