We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and highly organized  Central Scheduling Representative to join our busy urology practice. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, working in a fast-paced environment, and managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of incoming patient calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments according to established guidelines.
• Determine the appropriate appointment type, provider, location, and timeframe.
• Provide patients with accurate appointment information and instructions.
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Document calls and scheduling activity accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Identify urgent or clinical concerns and appropriately escalate calls to clinical staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, referring offices, and healthcare partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous healthcare, medical office, call center, scheduling, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage high call volumes and multitask effectively.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate with patients.
• Medical terminology or urology experience is a plus.
