Senior County Counsel & Legal Strategy Lead

Kern County is seeking a Chief Deputy County Counsel through a department promotional recruitment. The position is open to eligible Kern County Counsel employees and will provide senior legal leadership to County departments.

The Chief Deputy will advise on civil procedure, supervise legal staff, and assist the County Counsel with litigation and advisory duties in a on-site county environment. The appointment follows the established promotional examination process in accordance with county
