MRI Technologist

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our radiology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of MRI scans and assisting in patient care. This position requires a commitment to high-quality service in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform general MRI scans including head, neck, abdomen, and extremity studies (excluding cardiac).
• Administer IVs as necessary for imaging procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient care and scanning procedures.
• Assist in maintaining equipment and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.

• Average Number of Scans/Studies per Day: 14
• Charting System: EPIC

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
• ARRT certification in MRI (ARRT MR) is mandatory.
• Prior experience in MRI preferred.

Scheduling

• Shifts consist of three 12-hour days per week, with on-call requirements one night per week and every 3-4 weekends.
• Weekend and holiday availability is necessary.
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling available.

Additional Information

• This role requires professionals to be present on-site for a designated orientation week.
• Professional color scrubs are to be worn; scrubs may be provided by the agency.
• A registered radiology assistant is not utilized in this department.
• In-house radiologists are available during day shifts (not overnight).
