Lead HVAC Technician (78834)

Job Location: New Rochelle, NY 10801. Position Type: Full Time. Salary Range: $36.83 - $42.50 per hour. Responsibilities Install, maintain, repair, and inspect mechanical equipment and electrical systems including specialized HVAC systems, boiler plants, dormitories, administration, classrooms, and office buildings. Expert knowledge in industrial equipment such as 120 ton chillers, cooling towers, VRF systems, BAS systems and controls, VFD drives; troubleshoot and maintain these systems. Install, service, and repair electric motors, heaters, coolers, refrigerators, and other related equipment using various hand and power tools of the maintenance trades. Install, maintain, and repair air compressors and other air conditioning equipment using various machine tools. Service and repair appliances such as fans, washing machines, refrigerators, fan coil units, boilers and air conditioners using machine and hand tools. Maintain central steam, water and chemical water treatment systems, as well as other systems, using gauges and other test instruments to diagnose malfunctions and mechanic hand and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble system components. Fabricate, assemble, and test parts as needed, such as various pumps, valves, heaters, compressors, experimental fire equipment, and other mechanical system parts using common hand tools, power tools, and torches. Replace fuses, light bulbs, circuit breakers, electric switches, and other electrical equipment following electrical specifications. Assist in training lower-level HVAC Mechanics and others. Drive a truck for general hauling of supplies, equipment, and material. Requisition equipment, materials, and supplies. Perform related work as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma and must possess HVAC universal license. 10 years in the mechanical field. Must possess expertise and troubleshooting ability for industrial heating and cooling systems along with electrical and wiring proficiency. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
