Overview Sales Consultants at Johnson Brothers are responsible for achieving sales objectives, managing territory, promoting products, and maintaining accounts across multiple locations. Territory The territory includes Hickory, Granite Falls, Lenoir, Wilkesboro, and Taylorsville. Responsibilities Develop strategies and plans to achieve sales and merchandising objectives using company pricing and product information. Call on accounts and complete daily route coverage with an efficient routing pattern. Analyze account base, identify opportunities, complete surveys, and ensure compliance with national account policies. Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, balancing company priorities and customer needs. Support inventory management by monitoring levels, reporting shortages, and alerting management to demand changes. Achieve distribution, volume, and activity goals set by management for supplier brands. Maintain brand visibility and account standards using point‑of‑sale materials. Restock shelves and manage product levels in accounts. Collect payments in accordance with legal requirements. Educate account staff on priority brands through training seminars. Assist with opening new accounts, preparing opening orders with District Manager. Process customer receivables, credits, and returns, and communicate account aging. Handle service calls, customer issues, and complaints, and refer as needed. Participate in supplier work, sales meetings, and blitzes. Complete required training programs and maintain industry knowledge. Maintain confidentiality of customer information. Follow safety and cleanliness procedures. Contribute to team effort as required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred. Knowledge of wine and spirits; experience in on‑premise sales preferred. Strong accounting, computer, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Results‑oriented professional with excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to multi‑task, work independently or in a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines. Proficient PC skills, including MS Office and presentation software. Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle; personal vehicle required. Must pass criminal background and motor vehicle record checks.
