Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth patient assessments that include physical examinations and thorough reviews of medical histories
• Assist in evaluating and diagnosing surgical candidates by interpreting imaging studies and laboratory results
• Work collaboratively with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment plans for patients
• Provide intraoperative assistance by preparing the operating room, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and passing surgical instruments effectively
• Offer outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care encompassing medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and educating patients

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Strongly preferred completion of clinical rotations with an emphasis on surgical settings

Certifications

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• Certifications in BLS and ACLS
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
