Volt is immediately hiring Customer Service Representative in Newport News, VA (Hybrid)

As a Customer Service Representative, you will:

• Be responsible for responding to branch inquiries through ServiceNow and other communication channels.
• Be responsible for researching and resolving order, shipment, delivery, and inventory issues.
• Be responsible for communicating with distribution centers, carriers, vendors, and internal departments.
• Be responsible for processing order cancellations, shipping updates, address changes, and freight reconsignments.
• Be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of customer interactions and resolutions.
• Be responsible for meeting established productivity, quality, and service level expectations.
• Be responsible for assisting in identifying process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Be responsible for providing professional and timely support while maintaining a positive customer experience.

This is a full time, Contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service or customer support experience.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Teams, Excel).
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proven record of reliability and attendance.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in supply chain, logistics, distribution, transportation, or warehouse operations.
• Experience working with ticket management systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Internal customer service experience.
• Email-based support roles.
• ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Workday experience.
• Familiarity with shipping/tracking systems (UPS, FedEx, etc.).
• Comfortable with research, problem-solving, and non-scripted work.

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
