Senior Health Actuarial Analyst

Senior health actuarial analyst role on Optum Health's reserving and forecasting team in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. You'll support monthly reserving and quarterly forecasting for Medicare Advantage business, building models and analyzing health care cost, utilization, and financial data. The role is remote within the U.S., except Minneapolis- and Washington, D.C.-area hires must work onsite at least four days weekly.

Requirements

Must have

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance or related field
• On the Actuarial exam track, having passed 2 or more Actuarial exams
• 2+ years of Actuarial experience, with a focus on technical skill development
• Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with Excel (including experience with VBA)
• Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with SQL

Strongly preferred

• Experience working in the finance-related field of the health care industry

Nice to have

• Proven solid written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings effectively
