As a member of our team, you will have access to ongoing educational resources, mentorship opportunities, and a collaborative atmosphere that fosters personal and professional growth.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities and conditions to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.Employ a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to optimize rehabilitation outcomes.Monitor patient progress, modify treatment plans as necessary, and maintain accurate documentation of each session to ensure compliance and continuity of care.Engage in clinical teaching and mentoring activities, providing instruction to physical therapy interns, students, and new staff regarding best practices in orthopedic care.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate multi-disciplinary care initiatives aimed at improving patient health outcomes.Provide input in the development of educational resources and training for staff to enhance service delivery and address clinical skill deficits.In conjunction with the management team, initiate or participate in clinical research focused on advancements in orthopedic physical therapy.Patient Population / Client FocusThis role focuses on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. The therapist will work with a diverse range of individuals, including athletes, older adults, and those recovering from major surgeries, aiming to restore their physical function and enhance quality of life.QualificationsAn accredited Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.Active Physical Therapy license in New York State is necessary to practice.A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic settings is required, demonstrating the ability to work independently and effectively within a home care context.Strong clinical assessment skills and a demonstrated ability to create individualized treatment plans that yield effective outcomes for patients.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate treatment plans and provide educational support to patients and their families.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in the delivery of patient care.Preferred ExperienceBoard certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is preferred, showcasing a commitment to advanced practice and specialty care.Experience using therapy technologies and modalities specific to orthopedic rehabilitation, such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation devices, or gait training systems.Previous experience in home health settings or similar environments is a plus, highlighting the ability to provide care in patient-centric locales.Compensation and BenefitsThis position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
