Shipping AssociateHamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a shipping associate opening at a company in Danbury CT. This is a temp-to-hire job. The shipping associate is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment processes. The hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $20-$22 an hour.Job Responsibilities:Generate orders/reports from in-house systemPick and/or verify ordersPackage, weigh, and perform data entry into the house databaseEnsure all materials are shipped to customers and consignors within the assigned timeline and uphold standard of 100% accuracyUse various shipping tools and platforms to expedite parcels via USPS and FedExPerform delivery and/or pick-up of materials as assigned by supervisorPerform daily or when needed postal runs to Post Office, FedEx and UPSPrepare and package products for shipment using appropriate packaging materials, ensuring items are secure and protected thoroughlyPick, pack and organize orders efficiently using order pickers and RF scannersOther duties as assignedJob Requirements:Warehouse and/or shipping experienceKnowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment processes, and inventory stocking techniques is strongly preferredBasic math skills for counting inventory accurately and processing orders efficientlyStrong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work effectively in a high value settingFamiliarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), AS400 or similar ERP platforms preferredAble to handle physical aspects of the job, including lifting and carrying 40 lbs. or moreAble to pass pre-employment screenings
