We’re partnering with one of the largest privately held companies in its sector, on a search for an experienced Real Estate Attorney. This is an in-house seat leading retail leasing and transactional matters across a national footprint, reporting into a real estate focused General Counsel and working closely with the business. It offers high ownership and direct visibility into how the company grows.
Responsibilities
- Lead the drafting and negotiation of retail leases, letters of intent, and purchase and sale agreements
- Support acquisitions, renewals, relocations, and dispositions across a national portfolio
- Provide risk-based legal guidance to cross-functional stakeholders
- Manage due diligence, including title, survey, and insurance, and oversee transaction execution
- Help shape internal leasing and development standards, templates, and playbooks
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor and an active US bar license, with Texas strongly preferred
- 5+ years of commercial real estate legal experience
- Deep expertise in retail leasing transactions
- Strong background in purchase and sale and financing deals
- Ability to balance legal risk with business needs in a fast-paced environment
