Qualifications Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program is a must. Must meet basic requirements of local and state child care regulatory agency. Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children is essential. Must be able to lift 35 pounds in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. Ensure adherence to all rules and regulations at Chroma Early Learning Academy and the local, state, or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children. Implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Chroma Early Learning Academy curriculum and programming. Keep the classroom attractive, well‑kept, and encouraging of children's creativity, exploration, and decision‑making. Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children, while setting clear and consistent expectations for their behavior. Take responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common areas, and playgrounds. Attend all required staff meetings, workshops, and school functions. Adhere to professional personal appearance, as outlined in the Chroma Early Learning Academy Employee Handbook. Assist in other capacities as needed. Be knowledgeable about the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children. Be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. Requirements License/Certification: Previous experience working in a childcare facility is a plus. TCC Must meet basic requirements of local and state child care regulatory agency. Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred) Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education (Preferred) Nice to Have Must be at least 18 years of age.
