Position Details

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position offers 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a 4x12-hour schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Provide patient care and support in the operating room.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices during surgical procedures.
Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain an organized and sterile environment.

Requirements

Experience: A minimum of 3 years in an operating room setting with trauma level I experience and circulatory experience.
Work Holiday Bundles: Must be available to work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles (Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year's Eve & New Year's Day).
Certifications: BCLS certification is required.
On-call Requirements: Availability for day shift on-call duties, totaling 24-36 hours per month.
COVID-19 Vaccine: Not mandatory, but reporting is required.
Local Candidates: Not accepted within a 100-mile radius.

Shift Details

Shift Type: Night shifts, 12 hours long.
Weekend Requirements: 2-3 weekend shifts per month may be required.

Facility Information

This is a Level I Trauma, Teaching, and Children's Hospital with a total of 554 staffed beds. The facility prides itself on delivering top-notch healthcare and supporting our staff through continuous training and support.

Skills and Experience Required

Experience with a variety of surgical procedures including trauma, neuro, and orthopedic cases.
Familiarity with operating room equipment and technology, including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.

Other Information

This position offers a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week. The organization supports its staff with continuing education and development opportunities. A 6-month break is required after four consecutive assignments or reaching one year of employment.
