CockroachDB Engineer

Job Summary We are looking for a CockroachDB Engineer with expertise in distributed databases, Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud technologies. The candidate will manage enterprise database platforms while driving automation, scalability, security, and high availability. Location Plano, TX / Chandler, AZ Employment Type Full-Time (FTE Only) Grade P3 Primary Skills CockroachDB PostgreSQL Oracle Exadata Redis Kubernetes Terraform Python Linux Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) Responsibilities Design, deploy, and administer CockroachDB and PostgreSQL environments. Manage Oracle, Exadata, and Redis databases. Deploy and manage containerized databases using Kubernetes. Automate infrastructure using Terraform. Develop Python automation scripts and API integrations. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines. Perform database performance tuning and troubleshooting. Ensure database security, reliability, and high availability. Handle L2/L3 production support and root cause analysis. Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Application teams. Required Skills Strong experience with CockroachDB or distributed databases. PostgreSQL, Oracle, Exadata, Redis administration. Kubernetes concepts and containerized database management. Terraform (Infrastructure as Code). Python scripting. AWS, Azure, or GCP. Linux administration. Production support and incident management.
