The Professional Liability Broker will drive new business, work to meet or exceed production goals, as well as build strong, positive relationships to increase the reputation of Burns & Wilcox.ResponsibilitiesBuild agent and broker relationships, find sources, and be creative in placing risks and identifying product opportunitiesHandle accounts of all sizes, must be willing to work towards handling larger accounts independentlySeek opportunities to access and cultivate new brokerage markets and productsTravel and entertain clients and prospectsWork independently, while mentoring and training new brokersDevelop and submit underwriting referrals, where required, to company brokerage facilities and Burns & Wilcox managementMonitor key metrics, such as, new business hit ratio, renewal retention ratio, premium growth, and loss ratio, formulating corrective action where necessaryMentor and train Associate Brokers as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years of professional lines experience is preferredStrong sales and marketing skills is requiredInterest in continued education and professional developmentRPLU designation is preferredAbility to perform tasks in a stationary position throughout working hoursTravel when necessary in order to foster strong client relationshipsBenefitsCompetitive base compensation & sales incentive bonus planEmployer paid continuing education courses and designations via access to Kaufman InstituteHealth and welfare benefits including medical, vision and dental401K with employer matchPaid vacation, sick time, and holidaysAccess to Kaufman Wellness ProgramFlexible and hybrid work optionsAbout Our CompanyBurns & Wilcox, the flagship organization of H.W.
