The Opportunity In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Focus on large‑scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects with a focus on the delivery of projects by leading significant portions of a variety of facilities throughout the cycle of design and construction, and startup phases as a technical specialist or lead. Hands‑on involvement in developing reports or technical memos, completing studies, detailed designs, and specifications, collaborating to complete cost estimates, and preparing contract documents. Participation in scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration for infrastructure projects, including involvement in business development and preparation of proposals. Coordinate with all other internal/external team members on moderately complex projects. Assist with identification of key client interests and drivers on less complex projects. Communicate client interests and drivers to project team members and develop approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work on less complex projects. The Team As part of BV Operations, your skills will be aligned to projects that support our 3 market sectors – Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial. In roles like Engineers, Technicians, and Skilled Specialists you will be engaged with exciting projects across the globe. Key Responsibilities Perform design of projects from the conceptual and bid phase through design completion for project needs and requirements set by the project managers based on client needs. Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets and managing sub‑consultants. Interface directly with the client or sub‑consultants under the direction of the Engineering Manager. Support business development through writing of technical approaches, scopes of work, and presentations to clients. Apply knowledge of regular civil concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the water engineering industry. Use knowledge to find and develop non‑standard design solutions for client project specifications. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced engineers and review engineering work of early‑career professionals. Prepare a variety of complex engineering deliverables and manage assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Plan and conduct independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques and procedures. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Licensed PE or ability and interest to obtain PE and/or be in active pursuit of registration. Thorough understanding of water and wastewater design (e.g., Infrastructure, Conveyance, Pump Stations/Lift Stations). Ability and motivation to lead portions of complex projects with guidance and mentorship. Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program in the country where the professional is practicing. Minimum of 5 years related work experience. Certifications Professional engineering registration is preferred or in active pursuit. Work Environment / Physical Demands Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager discretion, job performance, and work assignments. Typical office and construction environments; exposure to weather, noise, and safety hazards. Physical tasks: sitting, walking, talking, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving; lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds. Salary Plan Details to be discussed during the interview process.
