Associate Civil Engineer - Transportation

Pennoni Associates is currently seeking an Associate Transportation Civil Engineer to join our team in our Virginia Beach, VA office. With experience consistent, but not limited to: Work as a part of design team in the successful project delivery for clients including VDOT, NCDOT, and agencies in the Mid‑Atlantic Region and locally administered transportation projects in Virginia. Project types include transportation improvement projects, safety improvement projects, bridge replacement projects and multi‑use trail projects. Required Attributes MicroStation Connect, OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and ProjectWise (PW) experience or Autodesk/Civil 3‑D experience Highway and roadway design experience using MicroStation Connect, ORD and PW Bluebeam PDF editor experience a plus; GIS experience a plus Hydrology and Hydraulic (H&H) design experience Drainage design, SWM and ES&C design experience. CCR certification a plus Utility Design, water and sanitary sewer utility layout and lighting design Developing Maintenance of Traffic schemes, Construction Phasing and Traffic Control Plans Developing project cost estimates and specifications, including Special Provisions. Construction consultation experience Preferred Attributes Excellent communication skills – both oral and written. Experience with preparing technical reports and memorandums. Why Pennoni?
