Solution Architect - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Solution Architect for a Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for architecture activities and decisions for a suite of related applications within the Payments domain. This position has a hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Define the architectural vision and design for large, complex solutions, which align with the enterprise architecture strategy for the Payments domain
• Describe the solution intent and associated operating environment, evaluate system impacts, and determine the primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces
• Assist with end-to-end solution design and define non-functional requirements and architectural runway to support new features
• Ensure a solution is fit for purpose by working with stakeholders and evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions
• Establish and lead container design and deployment strategies
• Mentor teams in using Cloud-native design and Domain Driven Design
• Liaise with and advise Technology leadership and Product Owners in all aspects of application design and development

Requirements:

• At least 20 years of experience in information technology, with 2 years in financial services, and 15+ years of solution architecture experience
• Expertise in microservices architecture, cloud migrations, and delivering architectures for high throughput, low latency, zero downtime, and zero data loss
• Deep understanding of DDD, distributed systems design, integration patterns, microservices architecture, Cloud native, and UML
• Demonstrable experience designing and building applications using microservices, containers, distributed databases, and Kafka
• Experience taking a product from inception through requirements, design, development, implementation, and maintenance
• Proven ability to perform trade-off analysis between scalability, security, resiliency, and availability
• Experience with SW development processes (Agile and Waterfall)
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or other cloud service providers

Desired skills:

• Understanding of Payments Technology and regulatory requirements
• Experience with Bookkeeping and Ledger Applications
• Knowledge of Banking and Financial Product Processors
• Experience with Blockchain / DLT

Pay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hour
