Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Maintenance Clerk role based in Aurora, IL. The Maintenance Clerk supports the maintenance department by organizing and maintaining records, work orders, parts inventories, and equipment documentation. Daily tasks include entering and updating maintenance data in computerized systems, generating and closing work orders, and tracking scheduled preventive maintenance activities. The role also involves coordinating with maintenance technicians and supervisors, ordering and receiving parts and supplies, and maintaining accurate files for equipment, warranties, and vendor information. The Maintenance Clerk may assist with basic reporting on maintenance performance, communicate with internal departments and external vendors, and help ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards. Qualifications Strong clerical and administrative skills, including data entry, recordkeeping, and document organization. Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or similar software, and solid Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). Basic understanding of industrial maintenance, equipment, and parts inventory processes, with the ability to learn technical terminology. Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with maintenance teams, vendors, and other departments. Attention to detail, strong time management, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a manufacturing environment. Commitment to safety, quality, and adherence to company policies and procedures. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional vocational or technical training in maintenance, logistics, or related fields is a plus.
