Travel Nurse Job Details – Albuquerque, NM

• Location: Albuquerque, NM 87102 (New Mexico nursing jobs)
• Contract Type: Travel Registered Nurse (OR RN)
• Healthcare Setting: Operating Room (OR)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour (06:30 – 17:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,970 - $2,020
• Open Positions: 2 Operating Room RN jobs
• Scrubs: Provided
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: 30 patients
• Number of Operating Rooms: 13

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New Mexico or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, PALS, and CNOR certifications preferred
• Experience with Epic electronic charting system preferred
• Ability to float between Lovelace Medical Center and Heart Hospital as needed
• On-call required: 6+ days per month, including at least 1 weekend
• Proficient in a wide range of surgical procedures (see responsibilities below)
• Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for surgical patients in the Operating Room
• Assist with orthopedic, neurological, gynecologic, urologic, general, and robotic surgeries
• Float between Lovelace Medical Center and Heart Hospital as required
• Participate in on-call rotation (minimum 6 days/month, including weekends)
• Document patient care using Epic charting system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including radiology, pharmacy, rapid response, and interpretation services
• Complete orientation and required training modules onsite
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
• Demonstrate proficiency in ALIF, joint replacement, craniotomy, cataract extraction, robotic surgeries, and other advanced procedures
