Working independently with minimal supervision, this role provides technical guidance and support to junior maintenance technicians while playing a critical role in ensuring optimal equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.Shift: 1st, 9AM-6PM (Job Type: Full-time) | Location: Austin, TXBenefits:Health, Dental, Vision insuranceFSAVacation Time401k matchingEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Parental LeaveTuition ReimbursementResponsibilities:Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs in accordance with Circular policies and all safety and OSHA requirements.Execute and lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure plant equipment reliability and efficiency.Diagnose, adjust, repair, or replace fixed and rolling stock equipment including, but not limited to, balers, conveyor systems, gearboxes, electrical motors, machine shafts, rollers, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics and technical manuals.Provide training, direction, and technical support to Maintenance Technician A and B team members.Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend long-term corrective solutions.Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.Ensure a clean and safe work area in compliance with Corporate and OSHA standards.Participate in facility improvement projects and equipment installations as needed.Work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, to support operational needs and emergency repairs.Minimum Job Qualifications:3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment preferred).Experience with balers, conveyors, and processing equipment.High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environmentAble to follow instructions for operating equipment and record keepingAble to execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe mannerAble to maintain a clean & safe environmentBilingual English and SpanishPreferred Job Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of ageLegally eligible to work in the United States.Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodationsWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements:Normal work environment is outdoors, with exposure to all weather conditions, dirt, high levels of noise, smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions, including PPE.The physical demands described here are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
