Design Engineer, Turboshaft Integration

We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.What you’ll do:Own the integration of the turboshaft into the aircraft Manage mechanical interfacesOverseeing smooth operation of the turboshaft with its interfacesOverseeing correct operation of the turboshaft in its operating environmentManaging fuel, oil, exhaust, thermal and all other systems integrationsDefine pass criteria and testing conditions for performance verificationOptimize installation for mass, performance, maintainability and safetyWhat you’ll need:BS / MS / PhD in a related scientific or engineering field.8+ years experience in complex systems integrationStrong fundamentals and demonstrated understanding complex system integrationExperience with Siemens NX and suite of toolsA systematic approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate complex, technical rationale to multidisciplinary stakeholders.Extremely self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience writing comprehensive technical reports and documents.Nice to have:Experience with Turboshaft system integrationExperience with turbogenerator design principlesExperience with MATLAB, Simulink for control logic and numerical propulsion system simulation and performance modellingExperience with computational fluid dynamics and analysisPrior experience with hybrid-electric aircraft, eVTOLs, or hybrid automotive powertrains.Familiarity with FAA or EASA certification Knowledge of simulation model validation, model calibration, and uncertainty quantification methods.At Archer, we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent with the skills and leadership needed to grow our business.
