Are you a CAD professional with experience turning field survey data into accurate plats, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, or other civil/survey drawings?

We're hiring a Survey CAD Technician / Survey Drafter to join an established civil engineering and land surveying team in Midland, Texas. This is a great opportunity for someone with AutoCAD or Civil 3D experience who wants exposure to a wide variety of projects and the opportunity to continue developing their surveying and civil CAD skills.

Only 1+ year of related experience is required, and relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates outside the Midland area.

What You'll Work On

You'll support survey and engineering teams by converting field-collected data into accurate drawings and project deliverables for:

• Boundary and topographic surveys
• ALTA/NSPS land title surveys
• Subdivision plats
• Construction staking
• Easements and right-of-way
• As-built surveys
• Residential and commercial developments
• Municipal and industrial projects
• Oil & gas projects

Because the firm works across multiple markets, you won't be limited to one type of survey project.

What We're Looking For

We're especially interested in candidates who have:

• 1+ year of Survey CAD, civil CAD, or related drafting experience
• Experience using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
• Experience working with survey data, plats, legal descriptions, boundaries, or similar civil/survey documentation
• Strong attention to accuracy and detail
• Ability to manage deadlines and work collaboratively with surveyors, engineers, and field teams

Experience with Carlson software is a plus, but it is not required .

Technical school coursework or education in surveying, civil engineering, CAD, or a related discipline is helpful, but we're more interested in your hands-on experience and ability to do the work .
