Registration Specialist, PRN (Psychiatric Hospital) - ONSITE

Position Summary VPH Admissions/Reception Admin – responsible for onsite registration, arrival processes, discharge and insurance validation, and providing customer service to patients and families. Key Responsibilities Perform all assigned area functions per departmental guidelines. Perform administrative functions to ensure the department operates according to policies, procedures and protocols. Ensure all cases are entered accurately and thoroughly into the admissions, discharge, transfer and billing system. Provide customer service and status updates in the waiting room, in‑room, and prior to patient departure. Request payment and provide payment plan information for patient account balances when necessary. Resolve issues related to registration, billing, insurance, and payment of accounts. Additional duties may be assigned. Technical Capabilities Documentation – ensures all documentation is complete, accurate, thorough and compliant.
