Senior Accountant, SEC ReportingCollegium Pharmaceutical is building a leading, diversified biopharmaceutical company committed to improving the lives of people living with serious medical conditions. We have a leading portfolio of responsible pain management and neuropsychiatry medications.Hybrid – Boston, MA: Collegium will relocate its headquarters to One Lincoln in downtown Boston in Q1 2027. Until the move, this role will be based at our current headquarters in Stoughton, MA. Employees are required to work onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week, both before and after the relocation.The Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting, position will play a key role in Collegium's external financial reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and equity administration and accounting. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this role will own the end-to-end, day-to-day process for timely, accurate, and complete SEC reporting, including the Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, proxy statement, and other filings. The role will also be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of equity awards, ensuring proper process, accounting, and reporting. In addition, the Senior Accountant will serve as a key administrator for several financial systems, partnering with consultants, colleagues, and IT to ensure those systems operate effectively, remain SOX compliant, and continue to improve.This position is ideal for a Big 4 auditor with public company experience who is ready to bring their audit skills into a growing public company. From day one, the Senior Accountant will help improve accuracy, drive deadlines, manage open items lists, and serve as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors. The 10-Q and 10-K feed directly into the earnings process and are approved by the Audit Committee, so this role has significant visibility to the executive team and Board of Directors. It requires a highly responsible, polished professional. In return, it offers the chance to learn how a public company operates from the inside, work alongside talented colleagues, and build a foundation for future career growth across Finance.Responsibilities:Perform the day-to-day SEC reporting process, including managing the preparation of the 10-K, 10-Q, annual proxy statement, and other filings as neededSupport the quarterly earnings process, preparing and reviewing financial information for management, the Audit Committee, and external communicationsSupport the financial statement and SOX audit process, partnering with auditors to provide timely and accurate support, establish expectations and deadlines, and manage open items lists through resolutionSupport the SOX attestation process, including the design, implementation, and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reportingWork with internal teams and Legal to ensure all financial and compliance processes for the Company's equity plan, including W-2 and 1099 reporting impacts, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) enrollment, Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) processing, and overall administration of employee equity awardsDevelop and implement enhancements to the financial close and equity administration processes with support from consultants and colleaguesServe as a key administrator and reviewer for the Company's accounting and finance systems and related reportsWork closely with the accounting team to identify opportunities to improve the accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness of financial reportingIdentify opportunities to develop and use analytics that turn data into actionable informationPartner with other departments to ensure effective use of systems, Excel models and AI tools, reporting, and information sharing, as well as overall compliance with internal controlsBuild strong relationships with colleagues across functions, including Finance, Legal, HR, IT, R&D, Operations, and Sales & MarketingCommunicate clearly, providing thoughtful explanations and asking clarifying questionsDrive continuous improvement and proactively solve routine problemsRequired Leadership Behaviors:At Collegium, how we achieve results is just as important as what we achieve.
