QA Manager

Owning end-to-end quality across hardware, firmware, PlayOS, and game experiences for Nex Playground, the full-time remote QA Manager will manage validation processes, develop test strategies, and ensure seamless compatibility and performance in real-world conditions. Key responsibilities Own validation for hardware compatibility and develop risk-based test plans across various development stages Establish quality gates and entry/exit criteria for firmware and PlayOS releases, ensuring thorough testing and risk assessment Produce actionable bug reports and drive defect triage with engineering and product partners during release cycles Required qualifications Strong hands-on QA experience in system-level testing, firmware or OS validation, or hardware-software integration Demonstrated ability to design risk-based test strategies and execute exploratory testing Experience validating firmware or OTA update flows, including failure handling and recovery Ability to create maintainable automated tests or tools in at least one programming or scripting language Experience coordinating external QA partners or vendors to meet quality standards
