About the Role We’re hiring a BDR focused on Partnerships & Affiliates — not a traditional, relationship-first partnerships role, but a relentless growth hire whose job is to turn adjacent networks into a steady stream of qualified leads. Bustem doesn’t have “natural” reciprocal partnerships the way, say, an email tool pairs with email agencies. So this role is about proactively building referral and affiliate relationships from scratch — particularly with people embedded in the e-commerce ecosystem, like Shopify and Klaviyo employees, who sit close to our exact buyer every day. Who You Are: Have 1 - 3 years of BDR/SDR, affiliate marketing, or partnerships experience (a mix of both is ideal) Think and act like a BDR first — relentless pipeline generation — with a partnerships lens second Can build a program and a network from zero, without an existing playbook Organized enough to track and manage a growing roster of partners and affiliates Are comfortable being told “no” a lot and treat that as part of the job, not a deterrent Strong relationship-builder who can turn a cold contact into a warm, recurring channel Main Job Responsibilities Build the Affiliate & Referral Network Identify and recruit affiliates/referral partners embedded in the e-commerce ecosystem — Shopify, Klaviyo, agencies, consultants, and similar Design and help launch an incentive program, such as a pay-per-booked-call structure, to turn these contacts into an active referral pipeline Own relationships with individual referral partners once recruited Generate Pipeline Like a BDR Proactively source and share lead lists with referral partners and affiliates Run high-volume, relentless outreach — this is a “pounding the pavement” role, not a passive partnerships seat Qualify leads and hand off booked calls to the founder/sales team Test, Track, and Scale Track which partner/affiliate channels convert best and double down on them Continuously refine incentive structures and outreach based on results Report on pipeline generated by partner/affiliate channel What Great Looks Like You’ve built a functioning affiliate/referral network from zero Partner-sourced leads become a real, trackable share of total pipeline You’ve proven out and scaled an incentive program, such as $ per booked call You operate like a BDR first, and a “partnerships person” second Location On-Site, New York, NY Compensation & Benefits $65,000–$75,000 OTE (On-Target Earnings) — total compensation includes base salary plus variable pay, structured roughly 70% base / 30% variable Daily Lunch & Dinner Stipend Working directly alongside the founder and growth team This range may span several levels that could apply to the role.
