Title: Databricks & Power BI Data Analyst – Azure Cloud Analytics

Location: Clayton, North Carolina (Onsite, Monday–Friday)

Employment Type: Contract (6 months, likely extension)

Status: Accepting Candidates

About the role

We are seeking a Databricks & Power BI Data Analyst to support data-driven business initiatives by transforming business requirements into reliable datasets, dashboards, reports, and analytical insights. The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, data engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality BI solutions using Databricks, Power BI, SQL, and modern cloud data platforms .

Key Responsibilities

Analyze, prepare, and transform datasets using Databricks for reporting and analytics.
Build, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and visualizations .
Develop Power Query transformations and support data preparation activities.
Gather business requirements and define data attributes, quality rules, and functional mappings.
Support data modeling, testing, validation, and user acceptance testing.
Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver documented, reliable BI solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of Data Analyst experience with Databricks .
Hands-on experience with Databricks for data analysis and transformation.
Strong Power BI skills, including dashboard and report development.
Experience with SQL and Power Query .
Understanding of modern cloud data platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure .
Must be a U.S. citizen and available to work onsite Monday–Friday in Clayton, North Carolina.

Compensation

Estimated hourly range: $50–$55/hr (W-2) .
Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
