LPN Medication/Floor nurse every other weekend

Role SummaryApollo Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an LPN Medication Nurse for every other weekend (Sat/Sun 7:00am–3:00pm) onsite in Baton Rouge, LA 70816. This part-time role supports safe, accurate medication administration and patient care delivery in alignment with the RN and physician plan of care and hospital policy.Key responsibilities include:- Provide skilled nursing care as directed by the RN and physician orders- Promote patient wellness through teaching and appropriate rehabilitative interventions under RN guidance- Dispense medications under RN direction and per physician orders- Dictate and complete progress notes for 1:1 and group sessions per policy- Escalate risk management concerns to the Director of Nursing/Administrator to help prevent injury, illness, loss, or other adverse eventsRequired qualifications/skills:- Active LPN; psychiatric experience preferred; CPR and CPI must be maintained- Strong organization, prioritization, and documentation; able to perform under high volume/high stress- Effective listening, teamwork with a multidisciplinary team, and conflict resolutionApply through the careers page at PackageApollo Behavioral Health Hospital offers Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, plus Life Insurance and a 401(k) plan. You will coordinate closely with the RN and the multidisciplinary team to keep the unit organized and responsive as patient needs change. Throughout the morning and early afternoon, you’ll balance timely medication passes with patient check-ins, education moments, and documentation touchpoints, ensuring notes are completed clearly and in accordance with policy. As situations arise, you’ll communicate promptly and professionally, elevating potential risk issues through the appropriate chain so concerns are addressed early. The shift closes with accurate wrap-up documentation and a structured report to support continuity into the next coverage period.
