RN - PACU

PACU RN - 10 Hour Days

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: 4x10 Days (0900-1930). Weekends required: Yes, once per 4-week period. Call required: Yes, once per 4-week period.

The PACU RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the post-anesthesia care unit. This role involves monitoring patients as they recover from anesthesia and ensuring their safe transition to the next level of care.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient conditions post-anesthesia.
• Administer medications and manage pain relief as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with ASPAN standards and hospital policies.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy and pharmacy.
• Prepare patients for discharge or transfer to other units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a PACU setting preferred.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
