A Day in the Life of a Lead Registered Behavior Technician

As a Lead RBT, you are the go-to person in the field. You run your own ABA sessions with families, and you are also the RBT other RBTs call when a program or a behavior gets tricky. You model procedures for newer technicians, cover sessions when a teammate is out, and give your BCBA a front-line read on how each case is really going.

Every month you help shadow new hires, support treatment-integrity checks, and share what you see with our Clinical Director so quality stays high across the team. You love teaching as much as you love therapy, and you take pride in watching the RBTs you mentor grow into confident clinicians.

What Would You Be Doing?

• Delivers ABA sessions with an assigned caseload under BCBA direction.
• Models procedures and gives in-the-field feedback to newer RBTs.
• Covers sessions when teammates are out and supports high-need cases.
• Helps with new-hire shadowing, treatment-integrity checks, and team trainings.
• Shares front-line observations with BCBAs and the Clinical Director.
• Completes accurate data and session notes in ABA Matrix within 24 hours.
• Maintains client confidentiality and follows D & M policies and the RBT Ethics Code.

What Do You Bring to the Role?

• Certification: Current RBT certification in good standing.
• Experience: Five or more years of direct ABA experience (ten or more years for the top of the pay range).
• Experience: Experience mentoring or training other RBTs.
• Transportation: Valid Florida driver license, reliable car, and auto insurance.
• Background: Ability to pass a Florida Level 2 background screening.
• Passion for Children: A genuine love for working with kids and families.
• Positive Attitude: Patience, reliability, and strong communication with families and teammates.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves working in homes, schools, and community settings, occasionally lifting or moving up to 30 lbs., sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, and engaging in active play for extended periods. Travel between client locations is required.
