Job Description: Quality Assurance (QA) is a major component of any software development project. The Client sponsor and project teams want to ensure that all product deliverables meet the desired functionality at a high standard. The Client has very limited staff QA resources to assign to projects and needs to augment internal staff with contractors to achieve the quality of software outcomes that law enforcement applications require. These positions are various projects within the organization and could be working on projects related to Predatory Offender Registration (POR), the Criminal History System (CHS), Gun Permit Tracking System, and other efforts within these and other programs. Selected candidates will only be working on a single project at a time and those project assignments will be based on the skills and strengths that each resource reflects on their resume.

Responsibilities include:

• Work closely with the team members to assess and advise on testability
• Work closely with the team to help define the acceptance criteria
• Report defects and work closely with the team to resolve them
• Create, execute and track results of manual and automated tests
• Participate in peer reviews of test scenarios
• Actively participate in team ceremonies (e.g. daily standups, etc.)
• Respond to change quickly which may require frequent adding, changing or improving scenarios
• Create automated tests (whenever possible)
• Ensure validity of data conversion results.

Required Skills:

• Seven years of total experience in manual testing with the ability to perform analysis and create and execute test scripts on projects with multiple integration points. Examples of experience could include: performing analysis related to quality control, performance and operability; web application user interface testing; automated, usability, regression, and systems integrations testing.
• Seven years of total experience in automated testing with the ability to perform analysis and create and execute test scripts on with multiple integration points projects. Examples of experience could include: performing analysis related to quality control, performance and operability; web application user interface testing; automated, usability, regression, and systems integrations testing.
• Seven years of experience creating test documentation. Examples of documentation could include a combination of test strategies, test plans, test cases and data, test reports, final test reporting, logging and tracking defects.
• Five years of SQL experience. Examples of experience could include a combination of reading, writing scripts, and backend database testing.
• Three years of experience leading the QA effort for software development projects on a project team using Agile/Scrum methodology.
• One year of combined experience testing Web Services using SoapUI and Windows Services.

• Certified Scrum Master.
• Experience working with law enforcement or criminal justice systems.
