Job Summary and Qualifications

Coordinates, supervises and is accountable for professional nursing care of patients within an assigned department.

What you will do in this role:

• You will achieve professional goals set during previous evaluation period
• You will apply the nursing process to a group of patients.
• You will participate and facilitate in the case management process and cost containment for patients.
• You will cooperate with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations
• You will demonstrate accountability for direct patient care and evaluation of patient outcomes.
• You will document all aspects of patient care efficiently and effectively.
• You will assign and/or delegates patient care assignments to licensed and non-licensed nursing staff, based on acuity, needs of the patient, staff availability and qualifications.
• You will demonstrate professional practice and always conduct.
• You will participate in Performance Improvement as appropriate
• You will demonstrate critical care skills for managing acutely ill patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• < 1 year applicable experience
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
