Operations Supervisor

The Operations Supervisor is a full‑time position responsible for ensuring buildings and their components are manufactured and delivered according to the safety and quality standards at Morton Buildings, Inc. The Operations Supervisor will organize and lead building component production in an efficient and profitable manner, while maintaining a culture of safety. Responsibilities Serves as a safety advocate for Morton Buildings, Inc., exhibiting a constant awareness of safety requirements and promoting safe operations within the production area. Provides direct supervision for hourly production employees in a designated manufacturing facility; including scheduling work assignments, providing on‑the‑job training to produce high‑quality components, and overseeing employees to ensure adherence to company policies, work instructions and procedures, implementing disciplinary actions as necessary. Drives cost‑effective manufacturing methods and procedures through a culture of lean to ensure that production is within applicable standards and completed in a timely manner, while monitoring the budget and the availability of materials and supplies. Fosters a team‑focused environment through collaboration with local management and other department supervisors, including those in other manufacturing facilities, maintaining standard operating procedures and supporting plant and corporate objectives. Supports talent management for the designated manufacturing facility by participating in the assessment and selection of hourly production personnel and the development of employees through cross‑training. Performs other duties as assigned.
