Business Analyst - AE Mailer Business Analyst, TDS This position works with internal and external customers to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs; understand the customer journey and define user requirements as part of the technology product division of Syneos Health. Engages with customers, internal partners and influences project decisions; assesses the risks of various solutions and prioritizes competing business demands. Job Responsibilities Participate in day-to-day business discussions with key stakeholders and customers (external and internal) regarding declared and undeclared needs. Capture and document those needs and user requirements, including writing user stories for development. Collaborate with the internal development team on new business initiatives, gather and translate requirements, and be involved in the technical development of reporting needs. Assess risk and provide proactive messaging along with potential solutions. Support QAUAT processes, including creating and reviewing business test cases and assisting users in testing. Partner with customers and stakeholders on clear expectations for project delivery, including their role in clearly defined requirements. Capture feedback and re‑contract with stakeholders as required. Assist in the management of project updates with local and offshore development teams. Participate in and manage daily project updates and project coordination activities. Ensure that the products and applications in development meet the needs of end business users and respond to their queries. Perform data analysis, testing, and reporting. Identify potential issues before they arise for the user and tie back the initial requirements and goals for all involved stakeholders. Assist in communication between developers and end business and/or customer users. Translate technical needs to non-technical users and vice versa. Communicate in a clear, concise manner and translate requirements based on the audience. Collaborate with offshore and onsite teams on product and business use cases. Qualifications Independence to run several medium‑complex projects across internal and/or external customers. At least 4–5 full‑cycle implementation experience (SDLC) in BI Analytics‑based projects in the Biopharma, Life Science, or Healthcare sector. Demonstrated knowledge of both traditional Waterfall and Agile Lean methodologies. Experience in converting business requirements and functional requirements to use cases, epics, and user stories with acceptance criteria. Ability to quantify resource requirements and measure and communicate proposed project benefits. Strong risk assessment, problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills. Ability to engage both onshore and offshore teams as well as customers to achieve target outcomes. Good technical understanding including architecture, data analytics, project management, quality assurance, infrastructure, and maintenance/support. Excellent written and verbal communications; customer-focused approach through active listening. Ability to remain agile and nimble while navigating a matrixed organization. Self‑starter, proactive, strong business acumen, excellent follow‑through. Added advantage if experienced in Finance Accounting or HRIS areas within healthcare. Experience working in an onsite-offshore model. Technical skills needed: SQL, some BI tools, and the ability to learn proprietary technology. Mastery of Microsoft suite of products.
