Medical Assistant Opportunity At Pacific Wound CenterPacific Wound Center is a leading podiatry practice in the Stockton area dedicated to helping people of all ages and lifestyles get back to enjoying the activities they love.Our team is looking for a hard-working medical assistant who will work with the physicians and other members of the practice by performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties. This person will work to fulfill patient needs and ensure smooth patient flow within the practice.Duties and ResponsibilitiesGreet patients on the phone and in personPlace patients in the exam roomsTake vital signs of patientsAssist and setup for examination, treatment, and proceduresKeep accurate patient filesApply dressing, bandages, and splints as ordered by podiatristMaintain a sanitized and safe working environmentMaintain HIPAARequirementsCritical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervisionStrong computer skills and use of Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of basic medical procedures such as dressing a woundStrong communication skills and ability to actively listenKnowledge of medical terminology and anatomyStrong organizational and clerical skills to maintain patient files and perform office dutiesCustomer services skillsKnowledge of safety and sanitation proceduresEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or EquivalentCurrent American Heart Association CPR CertificationCertification from an approved medical assistant program or equivalent combination of trainingEMR Experience, Athena experience is a plusBenefits of Working with Pacific Wound CenterMedical, Dental, and Vision PlansHSA with Employer ContributionFSAGenerous PTO Program401k with a 3% MatchEmployee Assistance ProgramLife and AD&D InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability
