Key Responsibilities
Patient Assessment & Treatment
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving patient outcomes.
- Work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with clinical guidelines and physician collaboration.
- Ensure continuity of care through proper follow-up and patient management.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests including:
- Laboratory testing
- EKGs
- X-rays
- Perform clinical procedures such as:
- Suturing
- Wound care
- Injections
- Immunizations
- Minor in-office treatments
- Counsel patients and families on wellness, disease prevention, family planning, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Provide education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive healthcare practices.
- Promote patient engagement and long-term health management.
- Collaborate with medical assistants, technicians, and support staff to maintain efficient clinic operations.
- Support a positive, patient-focused clinical environment.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation within electronic medical record systems.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Active Michigan PA or FNP license.
- Master's Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies.
- Strong clinical knowledge and patient assessment skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
- 2-5 years of experience in Primary Care and Pediatrics preferred.
- Experience working in high-volume or multi-specialty clinic settings.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems.
