Position Summary The role of the Steward is to maintain the cleanliness and sanitization of all food and beverage outlets, kitchen, dinnerware, and food and beverage equipment. The Steward manages setup and takedown of select kitchen and outlet areas. This position is located at Radisson Hotel Nashville Airport and offers a supportive, teamwork‑driven environment in a convenient location near the airport and Music City. Key Responsibilities Maintain the cleanliness of the food and beverage operations: sweep and mop the entire kitchen, dish areas, restaurant line, banquet pantry areas, and walk‑in coolers. Wash and clear counters, shelves, and queues. Wash dish area and kitchen mats. Assist the cafeteria attendant and cooks with set‑up and breakdown and cleanliness of cafeteria. Monitor trash and recycling levels in all areas and remove when needed. Wash pots and pans and return them to their proper place after cleaning. Scrub kettles, skillets, and all floor drains. Follow all safety and security procedures. Maintain a supply of clean china, glassware, silver, etc. for all hotel outlets: clean china, silverware, and glassware by operating the dish machine or by hand as needed. Place bus pans in cook line; clean dirty dishes as needed. Keep cook line well stocked with china/hot plates and sauté pans. Keep glassware organized at all times, storing dishware in the proper location. Polish all silver when needed. Empty all dirty dishware in the employee cafeteria, wash and return to the proper location. Assist in the breakdown of banquet functions; wash dishes from functions. Create 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations. Give personal attention, take personal responsibility, and use teamwork when providing guest service. Listen, apologize with empathy, find a solution, and follow through when resolving guest problems. Perform other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality. Qualifications Minimum of one year experience in a similar position. Follows instructions and communicates effectively. Works well independently or as part of a team. Strong attention to detail. Commitment to exceptional guest service. Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Adheres to the policies and procedures of the hotel. Physical Demands Long hours are sometimes required; ability to work a flexible schedule. Ability to stand for long periods of time, frequent bending, occasional stooping or crawling. Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and push or pull up to 150 pounds. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment.
