Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples across various departments, including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and blood bank.
• Follow standardized procedures to prepare samples, conduct tests, and analyze results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits.
• Ensure quality control and maintain adherence to laboratory standards and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with laboratory team members and healthcare providers to support accurate and timely diagnosis and monitoring of diseases.
• Utilize laboratory automation and analyzers such as Beckman Chemistry analyzers with DXA automation, ACL Top Coag, and Beckman Hematology systems.

Required Skills

• Minimum of two years of laboratory experience, including previous travel assignments.
• Strong proficiency in diagnostic laboratory techniques and procedures.
• Experience with Beckman Hematology, ACL Top Coag, BB gel testing, and Beckman Chemistry analyzers with DXA automation preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems such as Cerner is a plus.
• Ability to analyze and interpret test results accurately.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• Must be certified as a Medical Technologist with ASCP or AMT certification.
• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience, including successful completion of at least two previous travel lab assignments.
• Availability to work night shifts, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with a 13-week duration.
• Knowledge of Cerner EMR preferred but not required.
• No floating to other units required, with flexible scheduling and no call obligations.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and adhere to safety protocols.
